Your "Supply Air" is distributed through the conditioned space using the following types of diffusers.
The first one is for a sidewall application. these are installed usually within 6" of the ceiling. The louvers or blades are adjustable so that air can be distributed evenly.
The second type shown is for a typical lay-in type cieling and provides 360 degree coverage.
